The halls have been decked! The presents have been wrapped! The food has been prepared! Now is the time to gather around with friends and family to celebrate! We would like to wish you and yours a very joyous and peaceful Merry Christmas from all of us at Ozzie Ltd. We cannot tell you how blessed we have been by the generous support of all our customers throughout this holiday season! If it weren't for your support, we would not exist.

We will be closed on Christmas Day, but a sale will begin the next day (Dec. 26) and last until Saturday, December 31. Everything will be on sale, with the exception of our Kameleon jewelry products. Linda will be headed to market on the week of January 9th to order some new goodies with you in mind. We can't wait for you to see all the news things we will be buying!

The Ozzie Girls are heading to market in Atlanta next week. We are really excited to find all the new goodies for the store. Time for us to buy Christmas and yes girls, time to start thinking about it. How about spreading it out this year so you don't get slammed all at once. The store will be closed Sun. and Mon., July 10th and 11th and the 17th and 18th. Shelley and Lindsey will be holding down the fort the rest of the time. After we get back there will be more big news at Ozzie's so keep watching.

Spring is finally here!

Hope none of our customers floated away during the terrible weather. Now that it seems we no longer need to build an ark !!??? maybe we can enjoy a good summer. Ozzie's suffered during all the storms but thanks to all of you we had a great Mother's Day week. Now we are fixing up the patio with garden and greenery and getting out the iced tea. We've got those queen ferns in you all love in two sizes. And some beautiful new pots!

Ozzie's is now carrying Madeline sandals and ohhhhh are they cute. Also, time to get your new straps for the Lindsey Phillips switch flops. And if there are those who don't know about Lindsey yet, give them a look. What a fantastic product and a staple in this store. Our Parsley & Sage tops and jackets are so unique and the customers have been loving them with all the cutwork and detail.

Also, we would love to have feedback from you about our store. Go on our facebook page and tell us what you would like us to carry that we don't have or what your favorite products are that we do. We will be heading to market again in July, and we always want to please.

Well girls, in spite of the nasty weather, cold wind and general gloominess, our Cabin Fever Day was a marvelous success. We had a great turnout and heaps of fun. Because it took "true grit" to come out on such a bad day, Linda put the whole store on sale all day so if you missed it, you really missed it. Everyone was loving our new spring clothes, jewelry, scarves, shoes and sunglasses. As Clairee in Steel Magnolias would say "What separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize". How true!

If you still are having those winter doldrums, at least come in and look around. All our springy displays are so refreshing. Makes us all happy to come to work. And we love making our customers happy too. Look for more events in the future as we want to create good experiences at Ozzie's as well as good shopping and good prices.

The holiday rush is upon us and we are still loaded with gifts on our shelves for that special person on your list! We hope you will put Ozzie's on your route when you're out doing that last minute shopping. Keep in mind that we will be closed on Christmas Day, but we will be open on Christmas Eve from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm. We will also be closed on New Years Day as well.

We are getting super excited about January as Linda, Connie, and Jacque will be off to market! As usual, they will be going to Atlanta for a week to pick out some really great items for all of you! They search the many levels of the huge market to find unique items for you at great prices! I am sure they will come home with lots of good stuff! The store will be closed when they are gone from January 10th to January 15th.

The holidays are approaching fast as we get closer and closer to Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks. We are already prepared and ready here at Ozzie's! We have everything you need to shop for all the ladies on your Christmas shopping list, along with a few products for men as well.
We've been carrying Wind and Willow for months now and the line continues to expand. Whether entertaining guests for the holidays, taking a dish to a family holiday get-together, or just a quiet evening at home; there's a Wind and Willow product for you! This includes cheeseballs, cheesebakes and hot dips. There will be samples of these products available in the store for your sampling pleasure throughout the holiday season. We now have amazing soups by Wind and Willow that you are sure to love. Soup flavors include roasted red pepper asparagus, Irish pub potato, broccoli cheddar, smokey harvest chowder, baked potato, and spinach romano.

Another product we also want to mention in this post is Snoozies! As many of you have seen, a few months ago we began carrying an excellent product called Snoozies. These are the footcoverings for your feet that are made with a soft fleece lining - they are so comfortable to wear around the house when it is cold out! They aren't socks and they aren't slippers - sort of a cross between the two. We are now carrying these for the men on your Christmas shopping list.

Below you will find some small glimpses of the store, but as we have mentioned before, there is no way these photos could ever take the place of actually stopping and seeing for yourself.

Since our last post there has been so many new things introduced into our store. On top of the new amazing products that we now have, the new stuff continues to roll in and the store is changing daily. We have several new displays featuring some of these new products and you can see a few pictures below. We also have new clothing lines at excellent prices, tons of scarves, and lots of new jewelry and handbags.

It's definitely not too early to begin thinking about Christmas! We recently began carrying an excellent product for stocking stuffers called Snoozie's. These are the cutest and newest footcoverings for your feet. They are made with a soft fleece lining and come in several fun printed patterns. Christmas in July

What a sale we had this past week! The store was packed full of so many sale items and so many eager customers ready to grab the deals! Now that the sale is over, we have moved some of our sale items to the front loft of our store and items in that loft will continue to be 50% off. It would be nice to write that "everything was back to normal," however that just isn't the case. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival the new products we purchased at market a few weeks ago. Every day is like Christmas with all the boxes that are coming in. Little by little these new products will make their way onto the shelves of our store! Your Style in a Snap!

Greetings from Corydon! There have been numerous activities taking place around the store. We apologize for not posting for quite some time. Since the last time we posted there have been so many new and stylish items enter the doors of our store. Over the next couple weeks we will be featuring some of those new products here on our blog.

One product that we are extremely excited about is a product from Lindsay Phillips. Many of you know Lindsay Phillips for the Switchflops that we have been carrying for the past several years. For the last couple years now, she has been expanding her innovative collection to include even more interchangeable footwear as well as handbags and scarves. Here latest interchangeable flip flop, the Jordi, is one our absolutely favorites. Pictured below, these flip flops come in very colorful choices and are made of rubber for extreme comfort.

Once you choose a color that your prefer, there are several interchangeable "snaps" to choose from; some are pictured below. These snaps are very similar to the ones that were featured with the ballet flats that came out last fall. We love these stylish and colorful flip flops and we think you will too! Marie Osmond Has Arrived in Corydon

Marie is indeed at Ozzie's. She may not be here in the flesh; however, she is here in the cloth! Marie Osmond designed purses, luggage, and tote for women in 8 beautiful patterns. In conjunction with Marie's signature song "Paper Roses," there are luscious florals, distinctive paisleys, and rich autumnal tones. Marie designed this collection for women with many little touches that just make daily life richer and easier. Backpacks, laptops, messenger bags, three styles of totes, purses, wristlets and much, much more. The line features 13 different pieces in each of the 8 patterns, so there simply must be a pattern to please our most discriminating customers - YOU!

Pictured below is our owner, Linda Jackson standing by our terrific new Marie Osmond display. We personally inspected (translates to oohed and aahed) each of all 104 items in this line. Flip Flop Lovers - SwitchFlops has heard our pleas and created darker and richer colored patterns for the season. Here at Ozzie Ltd., we carry a line of jewelry that I am just NUTS about! I often think it is crazy that I buy jewelry when I am a jewelry maker, but this line is amazing!

Kameleon jewelry pieces are quality sterling pieces that are interchangeable. You just plop a pop in the middle and you instantly have a new piece of jewelry! What is a pop you ask? It is a darling little disks that pops into your base jewelry piece to make the piece flexible, versatile, and able to reflect your sense of individualism and style!

Kameleon then went and made their product even more desirable! They now have a customer promotion program. For every 10 pops you buy for your piece, or pieces in my case, you get a free pop! What a deal!

Spolight on an Ozzie Girl

Well, I suppose that since I have been the author of this blog for a few months now, I should tell you a bit about myself. My name is Kristi and I became an "Ozzie Girl" about a year ago. The truth is, it has really been longer than that. I have been making jewelry for Ozzie's for about five years. The watch bands, cha-cha bracelets and earrings, and several bracelets throughout the store are my creations! I have always loved to craft and deal with color! It is a joy to play with all the pieces of glass and make something beautiful out of them! When I quit teaching second grade for a while, I quickly jumped at the offer to work in the store. I have enjoyed getting to know everyone and to do some decorating in the store!

The new picture at the right of the page is a favored spot at Ozzie's! Everyone LOVES the porch swing. If I had a porch I would surely own one of them! I dream of sitting out on that swing and drinking my favorite sangria! I can't serve you any here on the porch, but I will share my recipe with you! Enjoy!

Sangria

1 bottle red wine

1/2 cup sugar

1 quart lemonade

1 liter Ginger Ale

1 lemon, sliced

1 orange, sliced

1 lime, sliced

1 pint strawberries, sliced

You can add more or less of whatever you like...this is just he way I like it!

I am sure that many of you have been taking advantage of this beautiful weather and have been working in your gardens, landscaping, and flower beds! I know I have!

The Ozzie porch is in full bloom! We are enjoying all of the lush Kimberly Queen ferns that are adding beauty all over the place! They are such a wonderful variety of fern! I personally have two at my house. I put them on our back porch. We don't give a lot of attention to our back porch, so this is a great place for them! They do not require a lot of care and attention. They also are not in need of as much water as Boston Ferns. I have also noticed that they do not shed nearly as much as a Boston Fern. You can put them anywhere, as they will enjoy sun or shade! They can even be taken in for the winter and used again the next year!

Stop in and check them out! If you purchase one during this first week of June, mention the blog and we will give you 10% off! What a deal!

We are so very sorry that this post is so late! The Ozzie crowd has had a rough two weeks! All three Ozzie girls have been out of town at some point or another... Make More Room with SwitchFlops!

One of the hottest selling items in the Ozzie store is SwitchFlops! For me, this is a sad thing. I have never been able to wear flip flops. I will tell you, however, that anyone that does wear them will tell you that SwitchFlops are the most comfortable pair of flip flops they have ever worn. It gets even better than that though. These flip flops have Velcro, so you can change their straps to match whatever you are wearing!

SwitchFlops come in three basic styles. The LuLu is your classic flat flip flop. It comes in black, tan, brown, pink, navy, and white. The white has been known to be a bridal favorite! The Taylor is a nice wedge for added lift. It comes in black, brown, and white. Finally, we have the Lilly, a sophisticated kitten 2" heel that can practically be worn with anything

Then we move on to the switches! These little magic straps can turn one pair of shoes into a wardrobe of choices to match all of your attire! On any given Friday you will probably find Christine wearing the Jackie strap which is red and white striped with blue stars. Linda looks adorable in her white LuLu's with the orange strap! I think you might find Shelly wearing the Heather strap if you stop in on Sunday afternoon!

Shortly after our Reverse-A-Purse post a husband called into the store to find out if we knew what style purse his wife had gotten so he could get her more covers for Mother's Day. He thanked us because now his wife had cleaned out her purses in the closet and there is actually room for his pants! Just imagine how thrilled he will be if she only has one pair of flip flops in the closet!

Ozzie girl, Christine, is a HUGE SwitchFlop fan! In honor of her favorite item in the shop, we are going to have a giveaway!
